Axl Tucker

Background

Axl is the younger brother of Joshua Tucker, who is also a psychic duelist. As Axl came into his powers when they were younger, Joshua mentored Axl in learning how to control his explosion abilities prior coming to Duel Academy.

Abilities

Axl's powers are that of a psychic duelist. Axl is labeled an Element User, specifically a Fire User. Similar to most psychic duelists, Axl is bonded to an archetype and is the Envoy of Jurrac.

• Duel Spirit Mediumship: As a psychic duelist, Axl can see duel spirits but he can only communicate with duel spirits within his psychic connection, the Jurrac.

• Explosion: Axl's primary ability as a psychic duelist is to make explosions real. Every time a monster is destroyed, by battle or otherwise, while a "Jurrac" card is on the field, the explosion of that destruction becomes real, generating real fire, blowback, pain, destruction, and force. The explosion is proportional to the strength of the monster and the LP damage inflicted. Direct attacks do not cause explosions and therefore do no damage. This ability is derived from "Jurrac Meteor's" ability and destruction of the Duel Terminal World.
  • Tactile Explosion: After being around Cameron, Axl's abilities began to manifest outside of a duel. Anything Axl touched would slowly overheat then explode after a few minutes. This ability can only be channeled through Axl's hands and feet.

• Thermal Skin: Axl's body produces a large amount of heat that is contained in his skin, which he does not notice, but others can be burned if they touch him.

• Duel Terminal World Connection: Axl's abilities are all maximized in the Duel Terminal World. In addition, he has full access to the power of the Jurrac.
  • Fire-Breathing: In the spirit world, Axl is able to breathe fire.
  • Fire Coating: In the spirit world, Axl can coat his entire body in fire at protection without harming himself.

Weaknesses

• Cold: Axl is extremely susceptible to cold conditions and ice-related psychic duelists. When Shy comes into her abilities, Axl can feel the icy presence of the Ice Barrier around her and is very uncomfortable around her.

• Explosion Control: When Axl's tactile explosion power developed, his shoes would consistently catch fire.

Deck

Axl duels with Jurrac Deck which features FIRE Dinosaur monsters, based on swarming to Tribute Summon or Synchro Summon high Level Dinosaurs in a fact-paced beatdown strategy.
